Parents,
Welcome back to a new school year! It was a pleasure to welcome your children to my class. They were excited to be back with their old friends and busy making new ones! We are all eager to begin a new year.
This school year will be filled with adventures as we travel around the world in search of mythical beasts and wondrous legends. Together, we will study world geography, art, architechture and history as we learn about different cultures and the stories they tell.
Grade 5 will go on an odyssey as they unearth Ancient Egypt's mysteries. They will unravel the secrets of the pharoahs and learn about the ancient Egyptians' history, daily life, mythology & burial practices as they read & listen to stories. The students will take the role of C.S.I agents as they investigate the deaths of ancient pharaohs.
As the days follow, I will supply you more information regarding our class and its activities. In the meantime, browse this site. You will be able to access daily English & Math assignments, project information and class news.
The students are encouraged to search for information on their own. I will post links for them to investigate both for fun and for homework.
