Welcome Back
Firstly, I'd like to wish Laura a speedy recovery. She suffered a ski accident and is recuperating in the hospital. Our thoughts are with her. We miss her smile & enthusiasm in class.
Our deepest sympathies go to Pina and Benny and their families who suffered a tragic loss over the holidays.
We will ring in the New Year celebrating courage, leadership, humanity and inspiration.
In January, we will discover the Underground Railroad and learn about stories, experiences, and accomplishments of people like Harriet Tubman and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
In February, we will celebrate Black History Month. It is an opportunity for us to recognize the significant contributions Blacks have made to the life of Canada in education, medicine, art, culture, public service, economic development, politics, and human rights.
